           Gillett - Mildred F. HENKEL, 89 died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998. She was born March 14, 1908, in Gillett to the late John and Clara ( HINRICKS) HELMKE. She lived all of her life in Gillett. She was raised by her step-mother, Bertha GIESE HELMKE. Mildred married Rudolf HENKEL Sept. 4, 1934 in Wabeno. He preceded her in death Aug. 13, 1979. She enjoyed her grandchildren, crocheting, and her flowers. She liked to read her bible and her door was always open. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Pulcifer, the Ladies Aid and a former choir member and former custodian.

      Survivors include: two sons; George and Kathy HENKEL, Neenah and James and Jeannine HENKEL, Gillett; a daughter-in-law Barbara HENKEL, Gillett;
seven grandchildren; Blaine, Larry, Kenton, Terrell, Spencer, Daniel and Donna; step-granddaughter; Ann; eight great grandchildren and four
step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John; two brothers and a sister.
      Funeral service will be Friday, Feb. 20 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church, Pulcifer, with Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, Thursday from 4 to 8 pm and at the church on Friday 9 am to the time of service.
