Robert "Pat" Raisler, 96, Oconto Falls, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, March 24, 2013 at home with his wife by his side. He was born April 19, 1916 in Chicago to John "Jack" and Emily (Vesely) Raisler. He grew up in the Chicago area where he graduated high school and as a young man, served in the US Army during WWII where he saw combat in the Pacific Theatre and also played saxophone in the Army Band.

On June 12, 1943 he married Ruth Behnke in Clarendon Hills, IL where Pat was employed by the American Archery Co. When the company moved to Oconto Falls in 1966, the couple moved there so Pat could continue his over 35 year employment with the company. Ruth preceded Pat in death on May 14, 1992. On April 29, 1995 he married Leora Jones-Schultz and the couple enjoyed almost 18 years together, laughing, dancing and always seeming to bring out the best in each other. He was a longtime member of the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir and also held membership in the Oconto Falls American Legion Post #302. Pat will be fondly remembered for his joyful spirit, great sense of humor and contentment for the way he showed his affection for the many blessings in his life.

Survivors are his wife, Leora Raisler, Oconto Falls; his three children, David (Mary) Raisler, Pensacola, FL; Robert (Margot) Raisler, Sanford, FL; Nancy Raisler, Louisville, CO; four grandchildren, Michael (Maricar) Raisler, Brian (Audra) Raisler; Kami Ates and Erik Hansen; three great grandchildren, Drake Raisler, Autumn and Jimmie Ates; one brother, John E. Raisler, St. Petersburg, FL; Leora's son, Allen "Butch" (Leann) Schultz, Beaver Dam; a special sister-in-law, Grace Hyland, Oconto Falls; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Millie Millar and one brother, Bill Raisler.

Visitation will be held after 10am Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Oconto Falls United Methodist Church until the time of service. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Thursday at the church with Pastor Jerry Cho officiating. Burial will take place in Clarendon Hills Cemetery, Westmont, IL. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Raisler family.
