 Visit Guest Book Lorraine Schuettpelz, 87, De Pere, formerly of Suring, passed away peacefully Friday, March 16, 2012. She was born May 26, 1924, in Oconto, to Schley and Harriet (Shier) Cole. On Feb. 13, 1940, Lorraine was united in marriage to Russell Schuettpelz in Oconto. They spent the next 65 years together. Russell preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2005.

Lorraine was a long-time member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Suring, where she was active with the Ladies Aid, LWML and Sunday school. She later joined Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Green Bay. For many years, Lorraine was an adult education coordinator for N.W.T.C. She will be long remembered for her cake decorating and her skill as a seamstress. Lorraine's proudest achievement was raising God-fearing children and the joy of sharing her life with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lorraine is survived by six children and their spouses, LaVonne (Stan) Suring, Cedarburg; Lyndel Davis, Grafton; Russell Schuettpelz, Jr. and his wife, Debra, Sobieski; Colleen "Joy" (Pat) Simpson, De Pere; Twila (Bill) Gipp, Howard; Ellayne (Pat) Trevor, Suring; 15 grandchildren and their spouses, Derek (Annemarie), Dana (Matt), Bryan, Janalee (Jim), Tara (Colin), Jason, Ryan (Stefanie), Rylee (Shelly), Angela (fiance, Richard), Lucas (Aimee), Jessica (Josh), Rachael (fiance, Jason), Bethany (Ben), Alyssa (Alex), Alex; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty and Darlene; a brother-in-law and his wife, Glen and Mary Schuettpelz; many other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her parents, six brothers and sisters and a son-in-law, Tom Davis.

Friends may call at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Drive, on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Scott Malme officiating.

Lorraine's family would like to express their gratitude to all of the nurses and staffs at Unity Hospice and Cardinal Ridge for all of their care and concern. A special thanks to her caregiver, Susie Druckrey, for all of the loving care given to Lorraine and her family.
