Marvin Schutt, 85, Gillett, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at a local nursing home. Born on Sept. 29, 1926, in the Town of Underhill, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Krause) Schutt. Marvin grew up on the family dairy farm. He enjoyed working with the animals and continued farming well into his '80s. When not farming, Marvin enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He also enjoyed family get-togethers. Marvin often talked about his good neighbors and his family will be forever thankful to them for being such a blessing in Marvin's life.

Marvin is survived by three sisters, Dolores Rentfleisch, Green Bay; Florence (Bennie) Schenkoski, Gillett; Ruby (Henry) Siech, Green Bay; two brothers, Harold (Nancy) Schutt, Milwaukee; Earl (Josie) Schutt, Vestal, N.Y.; a special aunt, Edith Schutt; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Marvin was preceded in death byhis parents; a brother, Elmer Schutt; a sister, Marie Schutt; a brother-in-law, Henry Rentfleisch; and two nephews, Gaylord Schenkoski and Kenneth Rentfleisch.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, with Deacon Mike Zamzow officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

In addition to Marvin's good neighbors, the family would also like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at Woodlands Nursing Home in Gillett, for the wonderful care given to Marvin during his stay there.
