Suzanne Wendt (1943 - 2012) Visit Guest Book Suzanne Sue (Stevens) Wendt, 68, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, after a long illness. She was born in Suring, on Oct. 10, 1943, to the late Francis and Ellen (Kolderup) Stevens. Sue married Richard "Dick" Wendt on Oct. 3, 1959. They lived most of their lives in the Suring area. Sue spent many years as the bookkeeper at the Junction and most recently worked at the Evergreen Mobile Home Park. She will be remembered as a wonderful mom, grandma and great-grandma. Sue enjoyed having her family around her and especially cooking and baking for them. She will especially be remembered for her homemade Christmas goodies.

Sue is survived by her four children; two daughters, Michelle (Dan) Wagnitz, Green Bay; Melissa (Joel) Hischke, Suring; two sons, Brad Wendt, Appleton; and Brian (Kim) Wendt, Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Debra Carrol, Green Bay; Lynn (Jim) Bartz, Washington, Utah; Ellen (Jerry) Werner, Loveland, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Brittany, Matthew, Jeremy and Amy; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Wendt (Dec. 17, 2011), and two brothers, Donald and Jack.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, at Suring United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until the funeral at noon with Pastor Candace Asher officiating, burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be expressed at
