The reporting of births was haphazard at best in the early years. Not all issues of past newspapers have been saved to microfilm, however, every effort is being made to research what is available for this collection. Birth
A little bare-headed and bare-footed boy, weighing twelve pounds, made his appearance at the home of our town treasuer Levi Lane, on Feb. 28. Mother and child are doing well.
James Hurley is setting up cigars this week – it’s a little girl, of course, and all are well.
