The reporting of births was haphazard at best in the early years. Not all issues of past newspapers have been saved to microfilm, however, every effort is being made to research what is available for this collection. Our goal is to help in researching ancestors and add a sense of history. This page is a continuing effort and will be added to, often, as more research is completed.
Anyone meeting Mr. S. Farrel will judge from the broad smile, that illuminates his countenance, that he is in luck. Well, he is; it is a little girl this time, and everyone about the house is jubilant over the event.
On Wednesday of this week the wife of Geo. Lemorade, of Stephenson, Mich. gave birth to four children, three boys and one girl, weighing about two and a half pounds each. All are in good health, and the attending physician says that with proper care they will live. This sort of thing accounts for the rapid increase of population in the upper peninsula.
A 8 X 10 smile worn by Julius Schmidt means that our family circle has become enlarged by the arrival of a big girl that weighs 13 pounds.
Last on our list but not least in our estimation is a bouncing boy which arrived at the household of Daniel Fenske last Thursday morning.
A very welcome visitor arrived at the home of Jas. McGuire, in form of an 11 pound daughter.
Born on Tuesday last, To Mr. and Mrs. C.E. McKenzie, a daughter. Mother and child doing well.
Walter Baker carries a very sociable smile since the arrival of that big boy at his house.
The population of our town is still on the increase as is also the family of Joe Demaiff, a bouncing big girl made her appearance at his domicile last Friday.
Fred Luebeck’s family added another member to its circle last week – a daughter. The number of girls in the town has increased considerably the last few years.
A.C. Frost now wears a broad smile. It is a boy.
Gus. Haas is the happy father of a big boy that arrived at his domicile recently.
