Fredrick Charles KERNER was born about 1807 in Wurttemberg, Germany.    He emigrated on 15 Mar 1832 Arrival Date: Mar 15, 1832 at the age:of 25. Port of Arrival: New York; Port of Departure: Havre;  Place of Origin: Germany; Ship: Ship Edward Quesnel 

He appeared on the census on 8 Jun 1860 in Grafton, Ozaukee, Wisconsin USA.  1860 Census age 52, living with wife Dorothea age 46, Freidrick age 14, William age 9, Georg age 7, Theodor age 5 and Rosina age 3.  He served in the military in Sep 1861 enlisting out of Grafton, Ozaukee,Wisconsin, USA.  Fredrick was a private for the Union Army during the Civil War. Pension formation found in Special Schedule - Surviving Soldiers,Sailors, Marines, and Widows, etc. Racine Wisconsin. Line 17 states: Dorothy widow of Kerner, Fredrik C. ,Company K, 16 Wisconsin Regiment.   Date of enlistment : September 1861 no date of discharge given.  He died on 31 Jul 1862 at a Military Hospital in Saint Louis City, Saint Louis Co., Missouri. (Information From Ozaukee County's War History by Daniel E. McGinley as extracted from THE PORT WASHINGTON STAR July 25, 1896 The Ozaukee Rifles Chapter 5:
"Fred C. Kerner, of Port Ulao, the man who had lain sick in the camp during the battle of Shiloh, was relieved from pain by death in a hospital at St. Louis, Mo., July 31.")  
 
1910 Racine WI census states that both of George Kerner's parents were born in Germany and spoke German.

      II. William KERNER was born about 1851 in , , Wisconsin, USA.  He appeared as a 9 year old on the census of 8 Jun 1860 in Grafton, Ozaukee, Wisconsin USA.  (William is probably the son of a first wife to Fredrick Charles Kerner) 
 
      III. George Clarence KERNER was born before Jul 1853 in , , Wisconsin, USA.  .   He appeared on the census on 8 Jun 1860 in Grafton, Ozaukee, Wisconsin USA.  Georg age 7.is living with his parents Fred age 52 and Dorothea age 46, brother Theodor age 5 , sister Rosina age 3 and two other boys that may also be brothers, Friedrick age 14 and William age 9. .  He died on 15 Dec 1929 in Melbourne, Brevard, Florida USA.  
 
      IV. Theodore KERNER was born in Oct 1855 in , , Wisconsin, USA.    He appeared as a 5 year old on the census of 8 Jun 1860 in Grafton, Ozaukee, Wisconsin USA.
