"Freunden und Bekannten die traurige Nachricht, daß unser vielgeliebte Mutter, Schwiegermutter und Großmutter, Charlotte Oehme, am Montag, den 22. August, um 5 Uhr abends, im Alter von 77 Jahren, 9 Monaten und 24 Tagen, nach langem Leiden sanft entschlafen ist. Die Beerdigung findet am Donnerstag, den 25. August, um 1. Uhr nachmittags vom Trauerhause, No. 943 - 7 Straße, aus nach der ev.=luth. Immanuels=Kirche, Ecke Garfield Ave. und 12. Straße, und von da nach dem Union=Friedhofe statt. Um stilles Beitleid bitten die trauernden hinterbliebenen: Mathilda, Wilhelm, Robert, Hermann, Emma und Emilie, Kinder; Gustav Merzdorf, Reinhold Wenzel und Herman Pooch, Schwiegersöhne; nebst Enteln, Berwandten und Bekannten."

[Translation: "Friends and Relatives we have sad News, that our beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, Charlotte Oehme, died on August 22 at 5 PM at the age of 77 years, 9 month and 24 days, after a long illness peacefully in her sleep. The Funeral will be Thursday August 25 at 1 PM in the afternoon at the Funeral hom 943 - 7 Street, after this we proceed to the evang.=luth.
