William Rose, 68, town of Port Washington resident, died
suddenly on Sunday afternoon at St. Alphonsus hospital in Port Washington. He had
been recovering from an attack of pneumonia.
Mr. Rose was born on Oct. 1, 1879 in Germany. After coming to this country he operated
a farm on the Ulao road, south of Port Washington. He retired some time ago and made
his home with a son in the town of Port Washington.
The survivors include one son, Alfred Rose, of Port Washington, two daughters, Mrs.
Anna Lesnick and Mrs. Hattie Axnick of Milwaukee. His wife, Mathilda, preceded him
in death in 1940.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Horn Funeral home in
Port Washington. The Rev. Charles A. Rota, pastor of the Grand avenue Evangelical
United Brethren church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Kiel cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services.
