Thursday evening, 24 Jan 2013, the PGS Program: "Exploring the 1940 Federal Census" was presented by Mary GROTA at the Door County Library-Conference Room in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Mary discussed the historical and societal conditions for the time period as well as all the How-To's and Hints on researching your family's history using the 1940 Federal Census on-line resources including Ancestry.com and FamilySearch. Practical applications followed with members and visitors getting a chance to search the 1940 Census using laptop computers. Mary's Tips on how to search to find the elusive ancestor were especially helpful. For more information regarding the program please contact the PGS at firstname.lastname@example.org.
