- Dear Clark,
- Thank you for your letter that I enjoyed very much. I would
like to help you but I'm afraid I can't
- do much for you. My eyes are very poor, my memory has failed
a great deal. I'm ninety-eight years old and will be ninety-nine
Aug. 18. My folks here insist I'll get to 100 in one more year.
- I don't remember any KIDDERs. The name but not the
people. Mare KIDDER, who was my
- devoted friend is the only KIDDER that I remember.
I am sending you the picture
of the group that I had at the Mizo School. It was called that
because the house across the road was the farm home of the MIZO
family. I roomed there during the week but I was at home in Milton
on weekends. I remember the names of some of the families, WIXSOMs
[WIXOMs], STRIEGLs, KIDDERs - I guess that
is all.
- I am here at my nephew's home [in Mequon] because I'm an
invalid, confined to a wheelchair and
- a walker because of a broken hip and left leg. I can't live
alone. My niece, Marlee FROMM, lives in my home in Milton
and goes to Whitwater U to get a Master's degree. She is taking
good care of my home, for which I'm very thankful.
- I'm very sorry I can't do more for you, but my memory has
failed me and that ends it.
- Best wishes! May God bless you!
- Sincerely,
- Anna Jean Plumb
