- Last Will and Testament of James HOBBS
I, James HOBBS, of the town of Lima, Rock County, Wisconsin,
being of full age and of sound and disposing mind, memory and
understanding do hereby make, publish and declare this instrument
to be my last will and testament in manner and form following.
First, I hereby direct my executor hereinafter named to pay my
just debts, funeral expenses and expenses of administration as
soon as convenient after my decease.
Second: To my grandson, Glenn A. PAYNTER, I hereby give and bequeath
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars, provided he lives to be twenty
one years of age and in that case to have and to hold the same
to him and his heirs forever.
Third: To my wife, Katherine HOBBS, I hereby give, devise and
bequeath all my property and estate, whether real, personal or
mixed in whatever form and wherever situate, to have and to hold
the same for and during her natural life and at her death to
be divided equally between my children, Edward HOBBS, Fred HOBBS,
Mary HOBBS and Belle H. KNOX, share and share alike, to have
and to hold the same to them and their heirs forever.
Fourth: I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Wilmer ARMSTRONG,
executor of this my last will and testament.
In witness wherof I have hereunto subscribed my name this 27th
day of August, A. D. 1915

On this 27th day of August, A. D. 1915, at the office of Robt.
C. BULKLEY, in the city of Whitewater, Wisconsin, the above named
testator, James HOBBS, subscribed the foregoing instrument in
the presence of us and each of us, and at the same time declared
the same to be his last will and testament, and we at his request
and in his presence and in the presence of each other, have signed
our names hereto as attesting witnesses. We further certify that
at the time of subscribing the same the said testator was of
sound and disposing mind and memory.
