Anton Fischer, retired; was born in Germany Nov. 5, 1833; came to America and to Sauk City November, 1851, and learned the tinner's trade, and was there till 1861, when he enlisted in Co. D, 9th W.V.I. and was promoted to Lieutenant; was mustered out December 1864; he was elected County Clerk in 1866, and served ten years in that office. He was married, May 29, 1870, to Miss Lucy Pold; she was born in the State of Wisconsin. In politics, Mr. Fisher (sic) is a Republican.
