Benjamin W. Brown, farmer, Sec. 32; P.O. Logansville; born in Maryland May 8, 1823; when he was but 3 years old, his parents removed to Ohio, where he lived until he came West. Oct. 21, 1847, he was married to Miss Mary Settle, who was born in Ohio June 23, 1826; they have nine children - Elizabeth, now Mrs. Warren; Lucy H., now Mrs. Fausnaught; Sarah; Rosella, now Mrs. Cross; William F., David L., Nancy R., Mary Emma., Benjamin W. and Ada. Mr. Brown settled on his present place, a farm of 40 acres, in the fall of 1855. In politics he is a Republican.
