Excelsior:
Charles E. Du Bois, farmer, Sec. 5; P.O. Reedsburg; son of William and Cynthia (Eighmie) Du Bois; came with his parents to Wisconsin in 1851, settled on Sec. 10, town of Dellona, now Excelsior, after residing there twelve years, moved to Sec. 5, same town, where he now lives; occupation farmer, and agent for Waupun wind-mills and farm machinery; has 190 acres of land; was born in 1847, near Saratoga Springs, N. Y. Was married in Excelsior, Nov. 27, 1874, to Miss Emma A. Young, daughter of John C. and Mary Young; have one child- Floyd M. John Henry Du Bois, brother of C. E., was killed at the battle of Cold Harbor in 1864. C. E. Du Bois and wife are members of the Congregational Church.
