Bierlein, farmer, Sec. 4 (has 120 acres); he was born in Bavaria, Germany, Nov. 3, 1844; came to America in 1853 with his parents; they first located in Ohio, and came to Sauk Co., Wis., in 1859. He was married in January, 1865, to Miss Sophia Ode; she was born in Germany; they have six children-Anna, Joseph, John D., Augusta, Lizzie, and Martha. Both Mr. And Mrs. Bierlien are members of the Latter Day Saints; in politics, he is a Democrat.
