Excelsior:
John D. Sanford, farmer, Sec. 3; P. O. Reedsburg; son of Afred and Priscilla (Hambly) Sanford; was born in Cazenovia, Madison Co., N. Y., Nov. 17, 1820; removed in childhood with his parents to Oneida Co., N.Y., where he resided till 1850, when he came to Wisconsin, settling in the town of Reedsburg on Sec. 32 and 33; resided in Reedsburg twenty-five years, when he changed his residence to Sec. 3, Excelsior. He was married, Dec. 22, 1871, to Miss Ellen, daughter of John and Lydia (Denton) Dyson; they have three children; Lilly, Waler, and Edna. Mr. Sanford has a well-improved farm of 320 acres.
