Jacobs, proprietor of City Hotel on Bridge St.; he was born in Wyoming Co., N.Y., Jan. 6, 1837, and came to Sauk Co. in 1855, and followed farming and dealing in stock etc.; he owns 40 acres of land in the town of Excelsior, on Sec. 24, which he rents; Nov. 15, 1877, he took charge of the City Hotel. He was married, Sept. 25, 1857, to Miss Lucinda Petteys; she was born in Wayne Co., N.Y; they have one son - Fred W. In politics, Mr. Jacobs is a Republican.
