Troy:
Samuel Babington, farmer, See. 27; P. 0. Cassell Prairie; was born in Milbrook, Canada, in 1847 ; in 1865, he went to Pennsylvania, thence to Illinois, and from that State came to Wisconsin in 1866 and located in the town of Troy, Sauk Co. In 1872, he married Miss Tomazine Patterson; they have four children- John T., Robert S., Maude M. and Guy. Mr. Babington owns 260 acres of land, and is an energetic and go-ahead citizen. Mrs. Babington, his wife, was born in the city of New York, where her parents, John and Mary Patterson, had lived for several years prior to their coming to Wisconsin in 1852; they were pioneer settlers of Patterson's Valley, town of Troy, Sauk Co., where they lived a number of years, and were esteemed citizens.
