Silas Fish, was born in Albany Co., N.Y. Was married, Nov. 20, 1824, to Betsy Raymond; they had nine children; Elizabeth, now Mrs. Thomas H. Powell, of Winfield; William, deceased; Elias R., married to Adelia P. Darrow, residence, Sparta; Spencer C., married to Mary J. Fish, residence Winfield; Jasper M., married to Temperance Hand, residence, Walworth Co.; Lewis N., married to Sarah Darrow, residence Monroe Co.; Elbert W., married to Ella McCray, residence, Winfield. Mr. Fish and family came to Wisconsin April 15, 1855, and located on Sec. 24, town of Winfield, Sauk Co., where he now resides. Mr. and Mrs. Fish celebrated their fiftieth or golden wedding six years ago. Mr. Fish as been Supervisor of Winfield; in politics, he is a Democrat.
