Adolph BOMKE

Shawano County Journal

8 Oct 1891

ADOLPH BOMKE, of Belle Plaine, whose illness was mentioned in these columns, died on Saturday morning of last week at Oshkosh, where he had been taken for treatment by Dr. Oviatt. An operation was performed upon him on Friday, which disclosed the cause of his trouble to be an internal cancer. He never rallied from the operation, dying the following morning. His remains were brought home Saturday night, and on Monday interred in the cemetery at Belle Plaine, where a large concourse of people turned out to do honor to the remains of their dead neighbor and townsman. Mr. Bomke was one of the oldest residents of Belle Plaine, and a highly respected member of the community. He was about 46 years of age, and leaves a wife and family of several children in good circumstances.
