Died in Ashland

Early in the noon day of life, Lynden Borden, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Borden, died of brain fever at St. Mary’s Hospital in Ashland, April 17.  His remains were brought to Gillett, for burial.  The funeral was held from the M. E. Church with interment in the Cemetery of that city.  Rev. O.A. Smyth of Hickory delivered the funeral sermon.  Deceased was born at Angelica, July 7th, 1880.  He is survived by his parents of Ashland, and one sister, Mrs. Frank McGern of Seattle, Wash., to mourn his departure. 

Lynden was a bright young man of excellent habits and will be sadly missed by a host of friends.

The relatives from away were Mr. and Mrs. F. Morrison, and son Dayne of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. John MaGee and sons Ellis of Coleman and Earl of Green Bay, Mrs. T.K. Borden and daughter Estella and Mrs. Lydia Fink of Shawano.
