The Milwaukee News of the 22nd instant contained the news of the sudden death of SILAS BUCK, a former resident of this city, which occurred at Milwaukee early Wednesday morning. The young man, a machinist by trade, was employed in the Fred Prescott Steam Pump Works, and about 2:00 on the day in question was sitting in front of the shop talking to a companion, when he suddenly fell over dead, heart failure was undoubtedly the cause of his death. Buck was 34 years of age and leaves a wife and one child. He was a member of the I.O.O.F., and the remains were taken to Superior for interment by that order. His aged father, Thos. P. Buck, resides in the town of Richmond, this county.
