Mr. Henry Haire was born in Germany in Sept. of 1825, and died here at his home on Dec. 30, 1905 in his eighty-first year. When he was about two year old his parents with their family immigrated from their native land to these United States of America and settled in one of the New England states where they remained for about twenty years after which they came to this state seven in all, five of whom have gone into the greater beyond, leaving two of the brothers only to mourn their loss.

Mr. Haire was married to the now bereaved widow on June 30, 1879, and this union has been blessed with five children, three sons and two daughters all of whom were present at the funeral as well as other relatives.  Mr. Haire has been in failing health for several months suffering with the infirmities of age.  The funeral service was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Methodist Episcopal Church, Rev. T. James officiating, after which the remains were laid away to rest in the city cemetery to wait the resurrection morn.  Our sympathies are extended to the bereaved ones.
