The sad news that Awald Hartwig son of Mrs. and Mrs. Hartwig of the town of Washington, had passed away at Bear Creek, on Sunday evening.  Awald was cheese maker for A. Raisler and while at work Saturday was overcome by heat.  Mr. and Mrs. Hartwig went to Bear Creek at once, and all efforts to save his life were fruitless.  He died at eight o’clock Sunday night.  The body arrived here Monday noon.  The funeral will take place Thursday P.M.  Rev. Noden will deliver the funeral sermon.  The young man was twenty years old at the time of death and was well known here and was held in high esteem by all with whom he came in contact.
