S. W. Hollister, of Oshkosh, is in town again this week looking after the logging operations of Stanhilber, Amos & Co. of which he is a member. Mr. Hollister has received word within the past few days of the death at the Hollister, Jewell & Co. lumber camps in Canada of a lumberman well known on the Wolf River, GEORGE HEWITT, he having been in the employ of W. W. Hollister of this city for several years. Hewitt went to Canada for Hollister and Jewell in the capacity of foreman about two years ago. One morning about a week ago he started into the woods apparently as full of life and strength as ever and at evening was found dead on an unfrequented side road, heart disease having apparently stricken him down. His remains were sent to his relatives in New Brunswick.
