Mrs. Lucy Jameson Dies Suddenly. Remembers Game Warden Department.
How we mortals, even in the midst of life, “are in death” was never more clearly shown than in the passing of Mrs. Lucy Jameson, wife of W.F. Jameson, a resident near this village. On Friday she felt extremely well and busied herself with household cares until nearly noon. At one o’clock the final summons came to her and she answered, just as all mortals must sooner or later answer. The Jamesons’ came here from Illinois eight years ago and brought a farm just north of town. There they have since resided, though Mr. Jameson, an ordained minister of the Methodist faith, has supplied the churches of that denominations at Mattoon and Marion. Mrs. Jameson was in all ways a most estimable lady, beloved of all who knew her. Besides the husband, three sons and two daughters are grief stricken at the loss of a most devoted wife and mother, and in more than ordinary measure all in this community share with them that grief. Funeral services will be held today and interment will be here.
