Johannah Wolf died Wednesday, May 8th at the home of her daughter, Mr. August Laasch, aged 81 years, 7 months and four days.  She was buried Sunday from the Belle Plaine Lutheran Church.  Besides Mrs. Laasch she leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Ossmon and Mrs. August Dahms of Waukechon.

Wolf, Johanna (Mrs.) passed away in the house of her son-in-law, August Laasch in Belle Plaine, on Wednesday 8 May at the age of eighty-one years, seven months and five days.  She was born on 3 October 1825 in Wedelsdorf in Pommern and was married to Wilhelm Wolf in her home land.  In the year of 1878 they came to America together with their son-in-law and his wife and settled in Clintonville.  Later they moved to Belle Plaine.  Her husband preceded her in death on 5 January 1895.  Mrs. Wolf lived with her son-in-law until her death.  She leaves seven children and thirty two grand children, all of which cling to her with affection and kindness.  Her two daughters are married to Hermann Assmann and August Laasch, both live in Belle Plaine.  The funeral was held on Sunday, 12 May in Belle Plaine with Pastor Stubenvoll officiating.  The large group in attendance, along with the many gifts of floral arrangements, testified to the great respect that was shared with her and her family.
