John Koss

A former Stevens Point resident, John Koss, 60, Medical Lake, Wash., died Friday at a Spokane hospital.
Born in Stevens Point on March 19, 1901, he spent most of his life here. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Koss Sr.
On Feb. 16, 1926, he was married at St. Peter's Catholic Church to the former Ida Mancheski.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Elva Ferrell, Medical Lake, and Mrs. Gregory Gilkay, 1018 1/2 Briggs St; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Kostka and Mrs. George Christian, Stevens Point, and a twin brother, Frank, Merrill.
Eight brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Funeral services were held at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Medical Lake, and burial took place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.
Attending from Stevens Point were Mrs. Gilkay and daughter, Amy.

Lucy Richter married Joseph Schultz, son of Martin Schultz and Catherine Laskoski, on 25 April 1904 at Torun, Portage Co, WI. Lucy Richter died on 4 October 1952 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 70.

Mrs. Lucy Schultz

Mrs. Lucy Schultz, 70, of 707 Fifth avenue, died unexpectedly on Saturday. She had been active recently, although she had suffered a heart condition for hte last three years.
The former Lucy Richter was born Dec. 9, 1881, in Poland, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Richter.
When she was six years old, she came with her parents to this country and the family came directly to Portage county, settling here on a farm. She attended the parochial school of Sacred Heart Catholic church, Polonia.
Mrs. Schultz remained at home until the time of her marriage on April 25, 1904, to Joseph Schultz of the town of Dewey. The ceremony was performed at St. Mary's church at Torun.
The couple took up residence in the town of Dewey on a farm, remaining there until 1945, when they retired and came to Stevens Point and the present address.
Mr. Schultz died on July 30, 1947.
Mrs. Schultz was a member of the Rosary society of St. Mary's church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Derezinski, 500 Union street, and Mrs. John Jonas, Merrill; two sons, Edward, Milwaukee, and David, 707 Fifth avenue; 12 grandchildren and a brother, Barney Richter, Chicago.
A sister, three brothers and a son preceded her in death.
Frienda may call at the Dzikoski funeral home until the time of services, which will be Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Peter's church. Burial will be made in Guardian Angel cemetery.
General rosaries have been scheduled at the funeral home for this evening at 8 o'clock and Tuesday evening at 7:30. At 8 o'clock Tuesday evening, the Rosary society of St. Mary's will say prayers.

Schultz Funeral

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church for Mrs. Lucy Schultz, 70, of 707 Fifth avenue, who died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday.
Rev. Joseph Walijewski was celebrant at the solemn requiem high mass, with Rev. Dominic Eichman as decon and Rev. Anthony Krauza as sub-decon.
Burial was made in the family lot at Guardian Angel cemetery, with Father Eichman officiating at graveside.
The pallbearers, all nephews, were Fabian Mancheski, Nobert Schultz, Chester Polebitski, Stanley Richter, Albin Schultz and Steve Rutta.

Mrs. Theresa Derezinski, 64, died this morning at 9:30 o'clock at her home, 736 Union St. She was deputy Portage County register of deeds. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Dzikoski Funeral Home.

Mrs. Theresa Derezinski

Mrs. Theresa Derezinski, 736 Union St., died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at her home. She was 64.
She had been in ill health for the past two months and had been hospitalized during that time at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield and at St. Michael's Hospital. She had left the hospital Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Daniel Kozlowski will officiate and burial will follow in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. The Catholic Woman's Club and the Rosary Society of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Group 35, of which Mrs. Derezinski was a member, will join a general rosary at 7:30 p.m.
The former Theresa Schultz was born Jan. 7, 1910, in the Town of Hull, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schultz. She graduated from Emerson High School and was employed at Kostka Insurance Agency until her marriage onJune 28, 1938 to Edwin Derezinski at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The couple then settled here. Mrs. Derezinski was a deputy registrar in the Portage County register of deeds office for nine years, until her illness.
Mr. Derezinski resides in Park Falls.
Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. John (Rose) McIlhone, Waukesha, Mrs. Jere (Anne) Fluno, Hickory Hills, Ill., and Rita, at home; two sons, Frank, Darien, Ill., and Richard, Appleton; one sister, Mrs. John (Ida) Jonas, Madison; one brother, David Schultz, 1009 5th Ave; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant son and one brother.

Theresa Schultz died on 15 July 1974 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 64.

MADISON - Ida A. Jonas, age 88, died on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at the Four Winds Manor, Verona.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1918, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Richter) Schultz.

Ida married John J. Jonas Sr. on Oct. 12, 1940, in Stevens Point. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and was employed as a crossing guard by the City of Madison for many years.

She is survived by three children, Eleanore (Frank) Kaminski, of Palmetto, Fla., Carol (Jack) Koziczkowski, of Crete, Ill., and John (Julia) Jonas Jr. of Verona. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Jeanine (Robert) Peters, Lori (Mike) Neils, Brenda (Cal) Sorenson, and Heather and Stacey Jonas; and six great-grandchildren, Emily and Hannah, Olivia and Mitchell, Noah and Calib; and many cousins; nieces; and nephews. Ida was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ed and David; one sister, Theresa Derezinski; and one son-in-law, Jack Koziczkowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Ave., Madison, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jay Poster and the Rev. Lawrence Jonas S.J. will concelebrate with a private burial service to be held at a later date. Edward A. Schultz
A boyhood resident of the Town of Dewy, Edward A. Schultz, 52, Milwaukee, died Saturday afternoon in Trinity Memorial Hospital in Cudahy. He had been hospitalized one week, following a stroke.
The body has been brought here to the Dzikoski Funeral Home, where friends may call until the services.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Torun. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The rosary will be said at 8 o’clock this evening.
Mr. Schultz was born in Dewey Dec. 27, 1905, a son if the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schultz. He attended school in Dewy, and was graduated from Stevens Point High School. He also attended the former Stevens Point Business College.
Mr. Schultz was employed afterward in Chicago and later Milwaukee.
He married the former Ester Zdroik of the Town of Stockton Nov. 9 1935, in Milwaukee.
Mr. Schultz was employed for seven yeas after his marriage by the Hall Chevrolet Garage in Milwaukee as a body man. Until his illness, he had been employed as a metal finisher by the Heil Co. there.
Surviving are the widow; a son, Martin, 19 at home; a brother David, 707 5th Ave; and two sisters, Mrs. Edwin(Theresa) Derezinski, 500 Union St. and Mrs. John (Ida) Jonas, 104 Pine St.
A son and a brother, both infants, precede him in death.

David R. Schultz Sr.

David R. Schultz Sr., 71, 1009 Fifth Ave., died early this morning at home. He had been ill for three years.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church. The Rev. Bogdan Werra will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church. Dzikoski-Pisarski Funeral Home is handling arrangements, but no visitation will be held there.
Mr. Schultz was born Jan. 26, 1917, in the town of Dewey, son of the late Joseph and Lucy Schultz. He attended Dewey schools and farmed on the family homestead there as a young man. He was married to Helen Karch Sept. 16, 1939, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. She survives. The couple settled in the town of Hull and lived at their current address since.
Mr. Schultz was employed by Lullabye Furniture Co. for one year. In 1943, he was employed as a lineman on the Alcan Highway for one year in Alaska. He then worked for Hutter Construction Co. in West Bend and Monroe, La. He returned to Stevens Point in 1948 and was a self-employed carpenter here until retiring in 1980.
Survivors besides his wife include two daughters, Ruthann (Terry) Nelson, Middleton, and Alice Mae (Jeff) Johnson, Junction City; six sons, Victor (Fay), 325 Forest St., Ernest (Carol), 957 N. Old Wausau Road, Hull, David Jr. (Joann), 509 Indiana Ave., Joseph (Kathy) 1382 N. Reserve St., Marine Lt. Paul (Pat), Hawaii, and Chester, 209 Second St. N; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ida (John) Jonas Sr., Madison.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter.

Edwin Derezinski, 71, formerly of Stevens Point, died this morning at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.

Mr. Derezinski, 70, formerly of Stevens Point, died Wednesday morning at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls.
He was born July 7, 1911, in Stevens Point, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Derezinski. He graduated from St. Peter's Grade School and St. Norbert High School, DePere.
He married Theresa Schultz June 28, 1938, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, and the couple settled here. He was employed in the veneer and plywood division of Lullabye Furniture Co. for a number of years and later was general manager of a subsidiary, Northern Hardwood and Veneer, Inc., in Butternut for 12 years.
Survivors include two sons, Frank, Cottage Grove, Minn., and Richard, 912 Sandy Lane; three daughters, Mrs. John (Rose) McIlhone, Waukesha, Mrs. Jere (Anne) Fluno, Lincolnshire, Ill., and Miss Rita Derezinski, Madison; four sisters, Mrs. Alex (Ramona) Kirschling, Green Bay, Mrs. Genevieve Glodowski, Stevens Point, Miss Loretta Derezinski, 1300 Briggs St., and Mrs. Vincent (Alvina) Kroll, Brown Deer; and 11 grandchildren.
One infant son, one sister, one brother, one infant brother and one infant sister preceded him in death.

Helen M. Schultz

Helen M. Schultz, 79, formerly of 1009 Fifth Ave., died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at the Portage County Health Care Center.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, the Rev. Gerald Fisher officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the Pisarski/Dzikoski Funeral Home.
Born June 14, 1918, in the town of New Hope, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Frances (Wysocki) Karch. She attended schools in New Hope and Polonia.
She was married to David Schultz Sept. 16, 1939, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Polonia. He died June 2, 1988.
After their marriage, the couple settled in West Bend, and also lived in Monroe, La.
The couple moved to their address on Fifth Avenue in 1948. She began living at Friendship Manor in Plover in 1991, and went to live at the Portage County Health Care Center in 1994.
Mrs. Schultz was a homemaker, working prior to her marriage at the River Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A member of the St. Peter Rosary Society Rose 48 for 37 years, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, playing cards and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruthann (Terry) Nelson, Middleton, and Alice Mae (Jeff) Johnson, Junction City; six sons, Vic (Faye), Stevens Point, Ernie (Carol), Stevens Point, Dave (Darlene), Stevens Point, Joe (Barbara), Stevens Point, Paul (Pat), California, and Chet (Cheryl Weldon) Schultz, Wisconsin Rapids; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren; four sisters, Matilda Zaborowski, town of New Hope, Agnes Rose, Chicago, Alice Kizewski, Custer, and Wanda (Eugene) Domaszek, Amherst Junction; and five brothers, Mike (Mary) Karch, Chicago, Ed (Evelyn) Karch, Custer, Ray Karch, Stevens Point, Hank (Millie) Karch, Amherst Junction, and Dan (Irene) Karch, Whiting.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother.

Edwin (Pat) Polebitski

Edwin (Pat) Polebitski, 77, 3200 Water St., died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1992, at River Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had been in ill health the past two years and a resident at River Pines for nine days.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Lynch will officiate and burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Polebitski was born May 26, 1915, in Stevens Point, a son of the late John and Pearl (Schultz) Polebitski. He attended St. Peter Grade School and graduated from Emerson High School. He then worked at various drug stores and Point Sporting Goods until going to work in the maintenance department at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1965. He retired in 1977. He lived on Water Street the past 20 years.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include a brother, Stanley 'Soo Line' (Jo), 2263 S. Highway P.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Stanley (Soo Line) Polebitski married Johanna Elizabeth Hintz on 9 July 1955 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Stanley A. 'Soo Line' Polebitski, 84, Stevens Point, died early Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, at the Portage County Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Shuda Funeral Chapel and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday. The rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

Stanley was born July 4, 1917, in Stevens Point, a son of the late John and Pearl (Schultz) Polebitski. He was married to Joan Hintz-Kluck at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in July 1955.

Stanley served in the U.S. Army from Oct. 5, 1940, to Aug. 19, 1945. He was discharged as a first sergeant, Battery A, 129FA 32nd Infantry Division.

He was awarded the Distinguished Unit Badge with Bronze Cluster, the Asiatic Pacific Theater Medal, two Battle Stars, five Overseas Bars and the American Defense Service Ribbon. He was recalled to active duty during the Berlin Crisis from October 1961 to August 1962, where he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

He later made a career in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He retired in 1976 with the rank of chief warrant officer.

He served as clerk of the town of Linwood for 10 years.

Survivors include a son, Mark (Mary) Polebitski, Waupaca; a daughter, Mary (John) Jungbluth, Dubuque, Iowa; three stepdaughters, Patricia (Gary) Phillips, Wisconsin Rapids, Susan (Jim) Farrell, South Beloit, Ill., and Karen (Doug) Pagel, Wisconsin Rapids; two stepsons, David (Dorothy) Kluck, Stevens Point, and Dan (Colleen) Kluck, Rosholt; 26 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Alfred J. Polebitski, 70, 624 Bukolt Ave., died Sunday of an apparent heart attack while fishing in Vilas County.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Chester Moczarny will officiate. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. St. Peter's Holy Name Society, of which he was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Polebitski was born April 22, 1910, in Rhinelander, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Polebitski. He grew up and attended schools in Stevens Point. He married Sophia Walloch on Aug. 29, 1939, at St. Peter's Church. The couple settled here.
He was employed by the Worzalla Publishing Co. until entering the Army on Feb. 12, 1944. He served in Rhineland and Central Europe and was discharged as a private first class on March 18, 1946. He returned to Stevens Point and was a self-employed cement contractor until retiring in 1972.
Mr. Polebitski was a member of Berens-Scribner Post No. 6, American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; one son, John, Custer; four brothers, Chester, Merrill, Edwin, 3200 Water St., Stanley, 2263 S. County Trunk P, and Jerome, 1212A 2nd St; and three grandchildren.

Chester Polebitski

A former Stevens Point resident, Chester Polebitski, 69, Merrill, died Saturday.
His death occurred at Holy Cross Hospital in Merrill.
Mr. Polebitski had been a Merrill business man for 25 years, and owned the East Side Floral Shop there.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Convent Chapel, Merrill, with the Rev. James Dabruzzi officiating, and burial will be in St. Francis' Cemetery there.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning until the time of the service as the Wistein Funeral Home, Merrill. The rosary will be said there Tuesday night at 7:30 and an Eagles ritual is scheduled for 8:30.
Mr. Polebitski was born in Stevens Point Jan. 18, 1912, a son of John and Pearl (Schulz)(sp.) Polebitski. He was married here Feb. 17, 1947, to Lucille Stachura.
Mr. Polebitski was a world War II Army veteran, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the East Side Business Association, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Eagles.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Richard, Merrill; two daughters, Patricia Peeters, Merrill, and Susan Polebitski, Dubuque, Iowa; three brothers, Edwin, Stanley an Jerome, Stevens Point; and five grandchildren.

He married Linda Tillie Schultz, daughter of Frank Anton Schultz and Tillie Theresa Hintz, on 1 June 1974 at Torun, Portage Co, WI. Eugene Sobish died on 22 September 1989 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 39.

Sobish Services

Eugene A. Sobish, 39, 5497 Jordan Road, town of Hull, died in the emergency room at St. Michael's Hospital on Friday. He was taken there by ambulance after being stricken at home.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church of Torun. The Rev. Edwin J. Stanek will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today at the Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home. The American Legion Post 6 and the Greater Polonia Polish Legoin of American Veterans Post 185 will hold a combined ritual at 7 tonight. The general rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m.
Mr. Sobish was born Sept. 10, 1950, in Stevens Point to the late Henry and Frances Sobish. He attended grade school in Stevens Point and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1969.
He was a Vietman War veteran entering the U.S. Army on March 12, 1970, in Milwaukee. He was a specialist 5th class with the 594th Transportation Company of the Third Army as a truck driver. He received the National Defense Medal, Sharpshooters Medal and the Marksman Badge. He was discharged Nov. 11, 1971, at Fort Campbell, Ken.
After the service he returned to Stevens Point and began working for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier until his death. He was married to the former Linda Schultz on June 1, 1974, at St. Mary Church of Torun. After the marriage, the couple settled at their present address.
Mr. Sobish was an active Pastoral Council member of St. Mary Parish, a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers 381, a member of the Greater Polonia P.L.A.V. Post 185, and a member of the American Legion Post 6 of Stevens Point.
He enjoyed truck driving and rifle deer hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; one son, Jeremy, and one daughter, Holly, both at home; one brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Sobish, town of Hull; and two sisters, Loretta (Stephen) Tuszka, town of Hull, and Cheryl Sobish, town of Hull.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Torun. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Sobish was born Sept. 11, 1979, in Stevens Point, the son of Linda (Schultz) Sobish and the late Eugene Sobish.
He attended elementary school at St. Stanislaus and St. Peter schools. He also attended P.J. Jacobs and graduated from Stevens Point Senior High School in 1997.
He was employed at Hardees in Stevens Point for two years. He also worked for Ron Firkus Masonry. At the time of his death, he had been employed at Consolidated Papers, Wisconsin River Division, for the past year.
He enjoyed playing pool and Nintendo. He also enjoyed the company of his friends.
Survivors include his mother, Linda; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Tillie Schultz; one sister, Holly Sobish, Stevens Point; one brother, Zachery Zurawski, at home; one nephew, Cory Sobish; and his fiancee, Kim Kulas.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and special friend, Dale Zurawski.

Elizabeth Schultz, 91, formerly of 2141 Water St., died Sunday, Feb. 20, 1994, at the Portage County Health Care Center. She had been a resident there for the past three years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Rev. Dan Kiedinger will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Frienda may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home. The Catholic Women's Club and Secular Order of St. Francis will combine with the general rosary at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Born Nov. 22, 1902, in Torun, town of Dewey, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Frances Piotrowski. She attended schools in Dewey. She was married to George Schultz on May 1, 1926, at St. Casimir Church, Milwaukee. He died May 28, 1960.
After their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee for a short time before moving to Stevens Point. She worked at Normington's Laundry for 35 years. Mrs. Schultz was a member of the Catholic Woman's Club and the Secular Order of St. Francis.
She enjoyed traveling, bingo and gardening.
Survivors include three sons, Leonard, Greenfield, George (Darlene), Galesberg, Ill., Dennis (Grace), Conway, Ark; five daughters, Irene (Joseph) Radar, Stevens Point, Lorraine (Doug) Simonis, Lake Tomahawk, Margaret (Dean) Baltz, Rockford, Ill., Elizabeth (Gregory) Knich, West Allis, and Nancy Schultz, New Berlin; 35 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Michael Piotrowski, Steven Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, four sisters and three brothers.

Sophia R. Polebitski, 73, formerly of 624 Bukolt Ave., die this morning at River Pines Living Center.
She had been a resident there for 2 1/2 months and in ill health the past three months.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Church. The Rev. Bogda Werra will officiate and burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home. St. Peter Rosary Society will combine t pray the general rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Polebitski was born June 11, 1915, in Stevens Point, a daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Wallock. She attended St. Peter School. She was employed by the Worzalla Publishing Co. in the binding department for many years and employed at Welsby Dry Cleaning and Journal Printing Co. She was married to Alfred (Rip) Polebitski Aug. 28, 1939, at St. Peter Catholic Church. The couple settled in Stevens Point and lived at their present address for 20 years. Her husband died Sept. 21, 1980. She was a member of St. Peter Rosary Society, Rose 8 and the St. Peter Mixed Choir.
Survivors include a son, John (Betty), 1008 Fourth St; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Slicker, 316 Fifth Ave., and Frances Kozlowski, 341 Bukolt Ave.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and a sister.

Sophia Rita Walloch died on 20 April 1989 at Whiting, Portage Co, WI, at age 73.

     Lucille Mary Stachura was born on 12 September 1921 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. She was the daughter of Jacob Stachura and Stella Gill. Lucille Mary Stachura married Albin Chester John Polebitski, son of John Polebitski and Pearl Schultz, on 17 February 1947 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI. Lucille Mary Stachura died on 22 July 2004 at Merrill, Lincoln Co, WI, at age 82.

Lucille Mary Polebitski, 82, of Merrill died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Woodland Court Elder Services CBRF.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill, with the Rev. James Horath officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday at the church. Burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Merrill.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1921, in Stevens Point to the late Jacob and Stella (Gill) Stachura.

Lucille was married to Chester Polebitski on Feb. 27, 1947, in Stevens Point. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1981.

Lucille and her husband, Chester, had owned and operated the East Side Floral in Merrill. Following Chester's death, she continued to operate the business until she retired. Lucille was an active member of St. Francis Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Larry) Peeters of Merrill and Susan Hubeny of Elmhurst, Ill; one son, Richard (Christine) Polebitski of Merrill; nine grandchildren; two great-grandsons; four sisters, Monica Omernick of Stevens Point, Dorothy (Buddy) Ciula of Knowlton, Barbara (William) Simonis of Mosinee and Elsie (Joseph) Koneczka of Manitowoc; and one sister-in-law, Stella Stachura of Stevens Point. In addition to her husband, Chester, she was preceded in death by one son, James; and one brother, Vincent Stachura.

John Wysocki

     John Wysocki was born on 29 April 1908 at Town of Bevent, Marathon Co, WI. He married Gertrude Mancheski, daughter of Adam Mancheski and Josephine Schultz, on 6 August 1940 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI.

Wysocki-Mancheski

Miss Gertrude Mancheski, 420 North Second street, and John Wysocki, 505 North First street, son of Mrs. Peter Stein of Elderon, were united in marriage Tuesday morning, August 6, at 8 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic church, Rev. Leo Przybylski officiated.
The bridal gown of white marquisette was fashioned with a square neckline, puffed sleeves and a train, and was trimmed with lace. A seed pearl halo held the elbow lenght face veil and the long veil which fell in a long train. She carried white roses.
Miss Lillian Lukaszevig, who was the maid of honor, wore a powder blue marquisette gown, made with a swetheart (sp.) neckline with rosettes, puffed sleeves and a full skirt. She wore fresh flowers in her hair and carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses. Fabian Mancheski, brother of the bride, was best man.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schroder, 410 North avenue. Breakfast, luncheon and dinner were served to 65 guests. Garden flowers were the decorations. Among the out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Stein and son, Joseph, of Elderon; Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Holzknecht and son, Freddie, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Dominick Wysocki and son, Ronald, of Bevent; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wysocki and children, LeRoy and Dorothy of Tomahawk; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schultz of Polonia and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schultz of Torun.
After a two-weeks western trip the bride and groom will live on Union street. Mr. Wysocki is a foreman for the Lullabye Furniture corporation, and his bride is a clerk at Mancheski's store.
Before the wedding a shower was given at the home of Mrs. Pete Schroeder, with Mrs. F. A. Holzknecht and Mrs. John Koss as assisting hostesses. Bingo was played and the bride was presented a gift. Another shower was given by Mrs. Ben Lukaszevig. Cards were played and the guest of honor was given a gift. John Wysocki died on 30 September 1981 at Stevens Point, Portage Co, WI, at age 73.

John B. Wysocki

John B. Wysocki, 73, 441 Union St., died this morning at St. Michael's Hospital. He had been a patient there for 10 days and in ill health for two years.
Funeral services will be held at noon Friday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Rev. Chester Moczarny will officiate. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Dzikoski Funeral Home. St. John's Court No. 1807, Catholic Order of Foresters, of which he was a member, will combine with the general rosary at 7:45 p.m.
Mr. Wysocki was born April 29, 1908, in Bevent, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Felix Wysocki, and received his education there.
He married Gertrude Mancheski Aug 6, 1940, at St. Peter's Catholic Church and the couple settled at the present address. He was a purchasing agent for Lullabye Furniture Co. for 49 years until his retirement in 1973.
Survivors include his wife and one brother, Leonard, Schofield.
Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
