This recipe is on a box lid from my great grandmother's cookbook (handed down to her granddaughter, Phyllis Dorothy Wilson Purdy, who has handed it to me. My great grandmother is Jennie Mae Halstead Colby.
Put some crushed crackers in a glass pie plate, add 3 tablespoons cream, som small cut onions fried golden brown in butter, dash of salt and pepper. Break eggs on top of onions sprinkle soft American cheese on whites, add pinch of salt and bake in oven until whites are set.
