Funeral at Hancock for Jesse Buchanan

Hancock Wis, The Rev P. H. Likes conducted funeral services at the Hancock church on Sunday afternoon for Jesse v. Buchanan 31 who died May 30 at Prescott, Arizonia where he had gone for his healt. Intermant was in the Hancock cemetery.

Mr Buchanan Was born in Racine, Wisl on June 21 1911 the son of Mr and Mrs James Buchanan and moved with his parents to Hancock in 1912. He graduated from the Hancock High School with the class of 1929. His mother and a sister Ivy preceded him in death. He leaves his father, stepmother, three brothers Lawrence of Coloma, James at home and Bernard of Aurora Ill and a sister Maxine at home.

ELDON BUSCHKE


Eldon Buschke, 79, Wautoma, died suddenly on Sunday, April 30, 1989 at the Veterans Administration Center Hospital, Wood, Wisconsin.

He was born October 19, 1918 at Coloma, the sone of Fred R. and Nellie M. Humphrey Buschke. On 5 January, 1944 he married Muriel Crowe at St. Helen's, England.

Mr. Buschke attended the former Hancock High School and later was employed for a number of years as a truck driver for Ray F. Mirr Trucking.

He served in the United States Air Force during World War II attaining the rank of staff sargeant. He was a member of Wolman-Minskey American Legion Post #317, Wautoma, and served as chaplain for a number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Muriel; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Diane) Royston, Wautoma; two sons, Gordon (Beverly) Buschke, Wautoma, Duane Buschke Sr., Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Verna Shead, Neshkoro; one brother, Elwood (Marjorie) Buschke, Westfield; seven grandchildren, Angie, Chip, Corree, Cassee, Duane Jr., Shana and Raelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary E. Buschke on July 18, 1981.

Funeral services held May 3, 1989, Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma, with the Rev. Virgil Holmes officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites will be at Wautoma Union Cemetery.

MURIEL BUSHKE


Muriel Bushke, 66, Wautoma, died peacefully Saturday, May 15, 1993, at the Silver Lake Manor.

She was born Feb. 5, 1927, in St. Helen's England, the daughter of Charles and Bassi Crowe. On 5 Jan 1944, she married Eldon Buschke in St. Helen's. He preceded her in death 30 April 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Gordon (Beverly) Buschke of Wautoma and Duane (Lynn) Buschke Sr., of Wautoma; one daughter Diane (Daniel) Royston of Wautoma; 10 grandchildren, Angie, Chip, Corree, Cassee, Duane Jr., Kayla,Colin, Lauren, Shana and Raelle; three great-grandchildren, Jason, Halie and Kinsey; two brothers, Gordon Crowe of Wind Lake and Richard (Lilly) Crowe of St. Helens, England; a sister in law, Verna Shead of Neshkoro; a brother-in-law, Elwood (Marjorie) Buschke of Westfield; and other relatives and friends.

In additiona to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary E. Buschke on July 18, 1981, a sister, Mary Bamber, a brother, Howard Crowe, and her parents.

Funeral services were 18 May, 1993 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma, Rev. Graham N. West officiating. Burial was in the Wautoma Union Cemetery.

NELLIA MAE BUSCHKE


Nellia Mae Buschke, 93 Wautoma, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 1988 at the Wild Rose Manor, Wild Rose, WI.

Born April 20, 1895 at Coloma. She was the daughter of Wilfred and Mamie Alverson Humphrey. On 4 August 1912 she married Fred Buschke at Coloma. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1950.

Mrs. Buschke was employed as a licensed practical nurse in Berlin, Wautoma and Wild Rose for many years. She was a member of Spring Lake United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Verna Shead, Spring Lake; two sons, Elwood (Marjorie) Buschke, Westfield, Eldon (Muriel) Buschke, Wautoma; six granchildren, 14 great-grand-children, two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one grandson.

Funeral services were held on Monday, October 10, 1988 in Grace United Methodist Church, Wautoma. The Rev. Virgil Holmes officiated and burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Coloma.

Stella I. Bushkey, 83 Plainfield, died Monday in Riverside Hospital, Waupaca. She was born May 12, 1901, in Plainfield, the daughter of Franklin and Adeline Trickie.

(Note from Jo: Franklin was the son of Alonzo and Martha (Goult) Trickie. Adeline was the daughter of Clark and Caroline (Lane) Stilwell.)

She married Mert Bushkey, June 2, 1920, in Plainfield. He died April 5, 1977. Mrs. Bushkey was a lifetime resident of the Plainfield area, where she farmed. Surviving are one brother, Otis, Marshfield, and one sister, Lula Kalwittier, Milwaukee.

Services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Gasperic Funeral Home, Plainfield, the Rev. R.D. Jose officiating. Burial will be in Plainfield Village Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.



FLORENCE E. BUTTS

Florence E. Butts (NOTE: There was no date for the paper but with her age at death, she would have died in 1983.) PLAINFIELD- Florence E. Butts, 88, Plainfield, died Wednesday at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point.

Mrs. Butts was born Sept. 4, 1895, in the town of Pine Grove, Portage County, the daughter of Lester and Tillie Bates. She married Clarence H. Butts in 1911 in Plainfield. He died in 1929.

She was a lifetime resident of the area and a farmer.

Surviving are one daughter, Wilma Lewallen, Bancroft; one brother, Darrel Bates, Pine Grove; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Gasperic Funeral Home, Plainfield, the Rev. Halverson officiating. Burial will be in the Plainfield Village Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
