History of northern Wisconsin: containing an account of its settlement, growth, development, and resources, an extensive sketch of its counties, cities, towns and villages, their improvements, industries, manufactories, biographical sketches, portraits of prominent men and early settlers, views of county seats, etc. Chicago: Western Historical Co., 1881. p.1144 Robert Doyle, engineer; was born in County Kilkenny, Ireland, and came to the United States in 1871, locating in Juneau Co., Wis., and engaged in lumbering; in 1873, he moved to Oshkosh and engaged in engineering, a business he has since followed; has been with present firm about five years. He was married in Juneau Co., Wis., in 1875, to Sarah E. Pollard, of that county, who died May 22, 1880, leaving three children- William, Catherine, Robert. Mr. D. is a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. |
