History of northern Wisconsin: containing an account of its settlement, growth, development, and resources, an extensive sketch of its counties, cities, towns and villages, their improvements, industries, manufactories, biographical sketches, portraits of prominent men and early settlers, views of county seats, etc. Chicago: Western Historical Co., 1881. p.1144 Andrew Ednie, foreman in the trimming department of Thompson & Hayward's Carriage Works; was born in Andover, Mass., Oct. 27, 1850; he lived in the east until 1876; Mr. Ednie learned his trade of Henry Hale & Co., of New Haven, Conn., and has worked in the following places, East Merrimack, New Haven, South Bend, Indiana, and Elkhart, and was in business on his own about two years in New Paris, Indiana, up to Jan. 1, 1881, at which time he came to Oshkosh, Wis., and began work as above noted; he was married in South Bend, Inc., Dec. 26, 1878, to Miss Sadie A. Clark, who was born in Saint Stephens, N. B., May 6, 1854 |
