Hobart, principal of the Neenah High School; settled at Menasha in the spring of 1869, and did general work until the following fall, then moved to Winneconne and took charge of the school on the east side of the river, where he continued teaching three years, after which he was appointed to fill the vacancy for County Superintendent, which he held until expiration of the term, and was elected in the fall of 1871, and held the office one full term; was again elected for the second term, which he held until September, 1874, when he resigned to take charge of Neenah High School, and has taught the same since; he was born in Westford, Chittenden Co., Vt., March 4, 1841. Was married in Cambridge, Vt., Sept. 2, 1868, to Miss Julia M. Wires, who was born in the latter place. |
