James P. Lomas

History of northern Wisconsin: containing an account of its settlement, growth, development, and resources, an extensive sketch of its counties, cities, towns and villages, their improvements, industries, manufactories, biographical sketches, portraits of prominent men and early settlers, views of county seats, etc. Chicago: Western Historical Co., 1881. p.1182

James P. Lomas, farmer and stock-raiser, P.O. Neenah, was born and reared
in Staffordshire, Eng., where he followed the business of contractor for
fourteen years previous to his coming here. In 1849, he came to this
country for the further prosecution of his business, but subsequently
engaged at the farming industry with which we find him still actively
engaged. In 1849, he was married to Miss Margaret M. Beattie, who was born
in New York. They have a family of four sons living and two of the family
buried in the cemetery here.
