D.W. Rowland, veterinary surgeon; was born in Racine Co., Wis., Nov. 13,
1852. Received schooling in his native county. In 1871 he went to Chicago
and attended medical lectures; went to Milwaukee in 1872 and remained to
1876, under instruction from Dr. Taylor, with whom he practiced for a time.
In June, 1877, he located in Oshkosh and commenced the practice of his
profession. Mr. Rowland was married in Menasha, August 3, 1881, to Miss
Emma S. Jones, of Menasha.
