B. E. Van Keuren, of Pike & Van Keuren, lawyers, was born in Utica,
Winnebago Co., Wis., in 1851; entered Ripon College in 1871 and remained
until 1875, when he entered Appleton College; read law with Moses Hopper
and was admitted to the bar in April, 1878, and to practice in the Supreme
Court January term, 1881. He was married in Oshkosh September, 1879, to
Miss Hattie Thomas, of Oshkosh. They have one child- Emmett B., born Nov.
18, 1880. Mr. Van K. is a member of the First Congregational Church and of
Association of "Royal T. of T."
