Below you will see a quilt which I made as a gift for my girlfriend's, Chris, cat. Or should I say cats? Her oldest cat Zema, is very shy. He hides from strangers alot! When I tried to coax him out, despite Chris telling me he wouldn't come, he came right out. Ever since, we have become quite good buddies. Then Chris got a baby cat, Lucy, who like all kittens loves to play and to pounce on Zema...

When Chris started to quilt, she would lay her quilt tops on the floor, and of course, the cats just had to get in on the action... So, I decided to make them a quilt. It is made using the friendship star, with 4 inch half square triangles. I had joined a SWAP group, and what better way to practice than to make a friendship quilt with cat fabrics... Finished size is: 42" X 44" and a little furry from my cats. Hope you like it, but if you don't, that is OK, as I know the cats will just love it to meeces!:

I thought you might like to look close up at the fabric, as it is specially picked for cats. All cats love to snuggle up when they sleep, so I gave them lots of cats to pile up on for nap time. The center block was a dark blue and the other 8 blocks were primary colors. Chris doesn't like red, so I tried to tone the quilt down...

I love to do back art to surprise people when they turn it over. The back was done with the remaining fabrics. If you look closely at the front, you will see the borders are AlleyCat fabric as below...
