Opportunity Quilts

In 1999, our Beach Cities Quilt Guild started an opportunity quilt. For those who participated, we made a 3 1/2 in wide X a 10 1/2 in high block (3 X 10 inches finished). After quilting it all together, it became an original FantaSea in a Bottle quilt by the Beach Cities Quilting Guild.

What FUN!!! You know that I love the beach, and scuba diving is my favorite hobby! So the fabric was already on hand. I just cut it out and followed the pattern. Then, we went to do hand quilting at Nancy Gilman's house. It was lots of fun, and I even got to quilt around my own block!!!

Below you can look at my individual block, and then try to find it on the completed quilt.
