DesBOUILLON SURNAME ORIGIN
The surname REINKE is of Germanic origin. One possible alternate spelling may be
REHNKE.
MAK NOTES:
My greatgrandparents were Carl J REINKE of Marienberg, Western Germany and Wilhelmina KUHL
of Pomerania, Germany. Carl also went by Charles REHNKE. Carl REINKE (not verified if he is mine)
was in Milwaukee (listed in the city directory in 1880s) until about 1889. By the 1900 Federal Census,
they were married and living in Wausau, MarathonCoWI. Then they moved to Cloquet, CarltonCoMN about 1903.
After Carl's death in 1916, his wife, Wilhelmina "Minnie" moved back to Milwaukeee. There are many
REINKE's in Milwaukee that are related to Carl... all his children, with the exception of my grandfather,
Emil Otto KUEHL, who married while in Cloquet, CarltonCoWI and later moved to Nekoosa, WoodCoWI.
Come with me and take a journey back into history. Help me discover my MAK-roots, and how they shaped the person I am
today... If perchance, we are related, click on Email MAK and let me know... I will be happy to include your line and
share information on mine.
