From the Wood County Reporter, Thursday March 5, 1863
The newspaper editor visited the sawmill town of Hemlock near Dexterville in late February with
Mr. Arpin, enjoying a lunch with Joe Pomeroy's family. They visited G. S. Brown's steam powered
sawmill and Stearns' rotary sawmill. While there they also visited with Reno, Farrish and Gillett,
and returned home the next morning.
