John NOTH, Wisconsin Rapids and Sigel, Wood County, Wisconsin
c 1920
John Luth moved to Wisconsin Rapids around 1920. Eventually he
acquired a farm on highway 13 about five miles north of town in
Sigel township. The old farmhouse is still there and Larry Bullis'
aunt still lives on one corner of the farm, although the
rest was sold off long ago. Much of the family still lives in
the area. See:

A 1933 photo of the entire class inside the Snyder School. It is
unbelievable how primitive this school was. Snyder School was
located somewhere along Highway 13 near Seneca Corners. The
building was relocated some years ago. Larry Bullis' mother and
three of her sisters are pictured. See:
[Snyder School]
A formal studio photo portrait of John Noth's family taken on
Christmas Day, 1935. (Of the eleven people pictured, six are
still living!) There was nothing distinguishing about the family,
just figure that they were just typical of the area at that time.
It's a great period piece even if you don't know who the people
are. See:

location. See:
