Friends of Cathays Cemetery

EVENTS & LINKS

MEETINGS

The Friends of Cathays Cemetery generally meet every two months, on the second Tuesday in the month, for a formal-ish business meeting where we discuss our future activities.

We meet in the cemetery workers’  mess room which is in the Cathays New Cemetery ,  on the north side of the main dual carriageway which divides the cemetery.

Every other month we try to carry out some activity in the cemetery.  During our first season, we planted two areas with wild flowers,  and cleared some overgrown areas of brambles, re-discovering a number of memorials in the process.

We hope to continue doing this as well learning more about the history of the cemetery with the aim of conducting our own tours.

If you are interested in coming along to one of our activities,  drop us an e-mail requesting the latest programme
