WHAT ARE MEMBERS INTERESTS?
Our Members' Interests Database is a record of the names being researched by members that they have
advised us of, together with dates, places etc. These are published in the Journal as soon as possible
after a member joins the Society, and they are also made available, on request, to other members
who are researching the same name. From time to time, we publish on microfiche up-to-date lists of
all our members' interests, which can be purchased from our County Sales
Officer.
To make it easier for you to interpret the data, we have compiled a page showing all the Chapman
County Codes for the British Isles and also the Country Codes that members are asked to use.
(Chapman County Codes are used in family history and genealogy as accepted abbreviations when referring
to counties within the British Isles.)
HOW YOU CAN ADD YOUR INTERESTS TO THIS LIST
When you join our Society, you can complete the special form to submit your details at the same
time as you submit your Application for Membership form. To submit them afterwards, or to change
your details, you can complete the Update Form. All these will be found by visiting our Membership page,
where you can print the appropriate forms yourself. Don't forget to insert your e-mail address and
tick the box to give your permission for your details to be published on these pages, before signing
the form.
