ABOUT GLAMORGAN GENWEB

The WorldGenWeb Project is a non-profit, volunteer based organization dedicated to providing genealogical and historical records and resources for world-wide access!

Welcome to WalesGenWeb. This site is part of the WorldGenWeb Project and is the local resource index page for Wales research.

If you need assistance with this website, please utilize the WalesGenWeb Project Help Desk.  Please do not post queries to the Help Desk -- we have a General Wales Query Board setup for all unknown county queries.

Welcome to Glamorgan Wales. This website is a member of WalesGenWeb and WorldGenWeb.

As your host for this website, my genealogical interest here was my McGee ancestors whom before 1702 lived near a place called Margam. Old notes suggest they were shipwrights who worked on ships and boats.

We credit Peggy Tebbetts who designed the original webpage with content in 2000.

Our mission is to provide free databases to researchers, including census, burial, land, bible records, wills, legal (court cases), church, history, any clue to point to alternate resources.

If you have relevant information you want to share, please contact admin. If you transcribe databases or provide other useful records for researchers, you will be credited for your work.

We seek a local volunteer to be an Assistant Coordinator of this website.

We want to fill this website with databases of information useful to researchers, including census, burial (Tombstone Project), land (Land Records Project), bible records, wills, legal (court cases), church, history, documents that could provide a possible clue to further research. Admin

Thank you for visiting.

I have not worn this tartan yet, but watch out Prince Charles. I could legally wear it if I wanted to.
