MERIONETHSHIRE, WALES (E)MIGRATION PATTERNS PROJECT

(E)MIGRATION IN | (E)MIGRATION OUT

Hi. This is the Merionethshire, WalesGenWeb (E)Migrations Project and I need your help. It's all about ancestral Migration Patterns-- the movements of groups of people.

This is a project that is just getting started in America and hopefully elsewhere. The hope is that after awhile all the WalesGenWeb, UKGenWeb, WorldGenWeb, USGenWeb, etc. project sites will join in.

Here is how it works:
There is a (E)MIGRATION OUT page and a (E)MIGRATION IN page.

I would like to have from you the following info (see below for examples):
1) Name of each migrating ancestor. Surname in all caps first, then given name.
2) Name of the county where migrated from into Merionethshire, Wales and when. Approximate time is fine, if that's all you have.
3) Name of the county to which migrated from Merionethshire, Wales and when. Approximate time is fine, if that's all you have.

PS: send me other snippets if you wish, like marriage, births dates, and I will try to find a way to use them elsewhere. I just want to find ways for folks to connect!

A (E)Migration IN entry might be thus:

* LLAFFINGSYLF, Sylly, from Hitherandyonshire, Wales, about 1830 (Carol Middleton)

The (E)Migration OUT entry might be thus:

* LLAFFINGSYLF, Sylly, to Copper Co., PA, about 1850 (Carol Middleton)

The county name will be hyperlinked to that same county site in EnglandGenWeb or USGenWeb, etc. The submitter's name will be added as a hyperlink to the submitter's email address.

Other county coordinators will be starting these pages and the dream is that we can link up across the world. If you are interested, and I hope you are, gather your information, and email it to me Carol Middleton.
