Secretary: Ann Roberts. 38 Christchurch Court, Park Crescent, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 6AB, Powys

GROUPS: The Society has three Groups, one in each of the counties of Breconshire, Montgomeryshire and Radnorshire, all working together under the umbrella of the Powys FHS. Each Group concentrates mainly on the records of its former County, but membership is common to all three. Members exchange information and help each other with their research

LIBRARIES: Each Group has a Librarian who is able to assist with research projects and to answer postal enquiries. Many items of interest are to be found in the Society Libraries, including an extensive collection of records, documents and reference material (some on microfiche and microfilm).

Additional material is added to the collection on a regular basis. Acquisitions include Census transcripts, IGI (International Genealogical Index), extracts of Welsh Wills, Monumental Inscriptions, local and family histories, as well as books of general genealogical interest.

JOURNAL: Cronicl Powys is the title of our award-winning journal. Three issues are published each year which are free to members. Programmes of meetings are published in the journals and on Local Authority library notice boards within Powys. We encourage the contribution of articles and information.
