LOCATION:
Llanddewi Ystradenny village hall is situated close to the A483
trunk road, it has plenty of parking for visitors on the day and
is fully equiped for our needs.
Llanddewi is situated north of Llandrindod Wells on the A483.
TRANSPORT:
There is a Central Wales Line rail link. See 'Heart of Wales'

SPEAKER:
After the AGM there will be a lecture, this year will
be Mr Geoff Riggs, former Chairman of the Federation of Family
History Societies and former Chairman of the Federation Publishing
company, he will be talking on The origins of Surnames, with special
reference to the local area.
The lecture will commence at 2-00pm in the main hall of the Llanddewi
Ystradenny Village hall.

POWYS FHS FACILITIES:
In response to requests, we plan to make more time available for
research at this event. Much library material including Census,
IGI, abstracts of Welsh Wills (pre-1858), Strays Index, Burials
Index and MI booklets will be available for members' own research
as well as the Society's computer databases on CD-ROM
There will be a Society bookstall with publications
produced by Powys FHS, the Federation of Family History Societies
and others available for sale
CATERING:
There are no other catering facilities available in the village,
so we have arranged for a buffet lunch to be available on the
day, there will be no charge for the buffet lunch.

of it?
