D. Pauline McKinney

D. Pauline Heavner McKinney, 87, a resident of Elkins and more recently a resident of Swisher's Assisted Living Facility at Elkins, departed this life Tuesday morning, Aug. 3, 2004, at the Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health.
She was born Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1916, at Elkins, the daughter of the late Grover C. Jones and Anna Grace Kittle Jones.
She was twice married. First, on Sept. 16, 1938, at Oakland, Md., she was married to John Lester Heavner, who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1974. Second, she was married to Randall Hodges McKinney, who preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1983.
Surviving are two brothers, Kenneth Jones and wife Lottie, of Hope, Ind., and Robert Jones and wife, Mildred, of Mentor, Ohio; two sisters, Ruby Hinkle of Lawrence, Ind., and Vivian Macomber and husband, John, of Tampa, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husbands were one daughter, Virginia Heavner; two brothers, William and Charles Jones; and one sister, Beatrice Moore.
She attended the schools of Randolph County, had worked for the Glen L. Martin Co. for 10 years and the Westinghouse Co. for three years, both at Maryland, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Saturday from 11 a.m. until noon, the funeral hour. The Rev. Doctor Marvin L. Parli will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for D. Pauline Heavner McKinney.
